Margaret Bradshaw probably moved to Belfast in search of work and would have been in contact with her grandmother Margaret(nee Carter) who was living there at that time.

 

 

Notes on Jane Bradshaw:

 

James Ward (1851-1924) the son of James Ward & Jane Bradshaw was born and educated in Belfast and studied at the Royal College of Art, London. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and was appointed Principle of the Metropolitan School of Art,Dublin in 1907. Among his publications are decorative design and Fresco Painting: Its Art and Technique.  In the early 1900's descendants of James Ward and Jane Bradshaw emigrated to South Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) - some of whom currently live in SouthAfrica.
