Notes
on George Bradshaw;
"Many years ago, he (James Carlisle) related to us the
particulars of his conversation. And here the name of
one, who was made
specially helpful to our brother at
that period, merits a notice; we refer to George
Bradshaw. Though poor and illiterate he was a
“diamond
in the rough,” being a man of market intelligence, great
mental strength and force of character, and one who had
a full
and
accurate knowledge of the plan of salvation.
We have a distinct and pleasing remembrance of him;
indeed it was our privilege to visit him regularly
during his last illness; and
afterwards to inter his
remains, in Blaris graveyard."
