Notes on Rev.
James and David Bigham Bradshaw
"Mention has been made of the
twelve young men of Priesthill who entered the ministry.
James Bradshaw, who entered the Primitive Wesleyan ministry in 1863,
and served for 64 years, over 40 were spent in the
Enniskillen district. He was father of David B Bradshaw, who bequeathed such a fine
collection of Wesleyana to the Irish Wesley Historical
Society."

Copy of notes made by The Rev James Bradshaw, Primitive
Methodist Minister in Enniskillen
" Bradshaw of Milecross, Bangor
James Bradshaw of
Yorkshire entered a volunteer regiment of Oliver Cromwell's
Army and was Captain of The Forlorn Hope at storming of
Drogheda in 1649. He married Ann Patterson, the
daughter of Deemster Robert Patterson, Isle of Man, in a
street in Carrickfergus before a magistrate. He died
at 69 from the effects of wounds he received at the storming
of Drogheda. .......
A similar article appeared in a 1934 Belfast Newspaper,
which was compile from a 1787 notebook of Miss Anne Jane
Wightman, the great great granddaughter of Capt. James.
A descendant of James' brother Edward Bradshaw & Mary
Watson, also stated there was a family connection with Capt.
James. Although there is no documented lineage between
Edward Bradshaw born 1798 and Capt. James, the question must
be asked why did Rev. James make/leave the record.
